I'm just a beginner,,,,,, but it was love at first brush stroke!!! I took my first watercolor lesson about 6 years ago, on a whim, just to see and to experiment. My very first attempt produced an abstract flower and I fell in love with it; and it still remains my favorite piece. So much so, that 3 years later, I took it out of the frame and added more details. There's so much to learn, so much to do!
Painting, and taking pictures to use as reference material, has really opened my eyes to Mother Nature - truly the greatest artist of all. I have learned to stop and smell the roses of life; if nothing else, shake my brain out of it's accountant's mode and truly appreciate the creativity of others.
Please take heed - when the original pictures are 5 x 7, or 8 x 10, don't try to have them blown up into a larger print size. They de-pixelate! And feel free to contact the artist for prints. I can can send them straight to you!
